Guardiola is expected to make changes to his starting line-up, but will still instal a very strong XI for the road tie.

Swansea City have been struggling with recent form – winning just once in the last five games.

Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash is the first of back-to-back battles between the two sides, which will meet again in the Premier League this weekend.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will make the trip to Sixfields Stadium on Wednesday to face Northampton Town in their EFL Cup 3rd round match.

Unlike their city rivals, the Red Devils have been struggling recently under new boss Jose Mourinho.

In all competitions, Manchester United have dropped three games in a row and Mourinho heads into Wednesday clash in Northampton hoping to avoid losing four straight games for the first time in his managerial career.

The Portuguese coach is set to make several changes from the last XI, with the likes of Michael Carrick and Jesse Lingard expected to come into the starting line-up.

Tottenham will face-off with Gillingham at White Hart Lane in another game, while Stoke City play against Hull City, Southampton travel to Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers tackle EPL side Sunderland, West Ham United and Accrington Stanley have a date, and Fulham and Bristol City battle.
