Oklahoma upsets Oklahoma State in Bedlam, 33-24

STILLWATER, OK (Sporting Alert) — No. 17 Oklahoma has upset No.6 Oklahoma State 33-24 to win yet another Oklahoma Farm Bureau Bedlam Series crown at the Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday.

The Cowboys came into the game as the strong favorites to clinch the Big 12 championship title outright and a place in the Fiesta Bowl, but the defeat now means that the winner of the Baylor and Texas match in Waco, will seal the BCS berth.

Trailing 20-24 and time running out, Oklahoma quarterback Blake Bell, who replaced the injured Trevor Knight, found Jalen Saunders for the 7-yard go ahead touchdown to send the Sooners (10-2, 7-2 Big 12) into the lead.

Oklahoma scored again on a fumble, but it really didn’t matter as the Oklahoma State (10-2, 7-2) with players just sat and watch with the game already out of reach.
