English Premier League table standings and results after the games that took place on Saturday. There were victories for Liverpool and Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea were both beaten.

Arsenal increased their lead to five points in the English Premier League table standings after the games that took place on Saturday and Sunday. There were victories for Liverpool and Tottenham on Saturday, but Arsenal were held by Everton on Sunday and Manchester United and Chelsea were both beaten on Saturday.

On Sunday at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal scored a late goal through Mesut Ozil in the 80th minute take the lead over Everton and looked well set to increased their lead to seven points in the EPL, but Gerard Deulofeu grabbed an equaliser for Roberto Martinez’s side as the teams shared the points.

Arsenal are now on 34 points, five more in the English Premier League table standing than Liverpool and Chelsea.

Also on Sunday, Fulham picked up a much needed 2-0 victory over Aston Villa to moved to 13points, but still sits in the EPL relegation zone.

REPORTS FROM SATURDAY. – DECEMBER 7

Luis Suarez was again on target as Liverpool moved to second in the English Premier League table with a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham United, who were reduced to 10-man after Kevin Nolan was sent off late in the game.

The win sees the Reds moving to 30 points, four less than leaders Arsenal, who will play against Everton on Sunday.

Tottenham continued their push to remain in the race for a top four slot with a 2-1 win over Sunderland.

In other EPL results, Manchester United were beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford by Newcastle, while Chelsea suffered a late defeat at Stoke City, with Oussama Assaidi firing home a 90th minute winner to break Jose Mourinho’s heart.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace defeated Cardiff City 2-0, West Brom were beaten by a similar scoreline at home by Norwich City, while Southampton and Manchester City ended 1-1.

So, after the weekend’s games, Arsenal (35pts) still hold a five point lead over Liverpool and Chelsea, while  Manchester City is fourth with 29 points and Everton completing the top five with 28pts.
