Oregon State v LSU Corvallis Regional Championship: June 3

The No. 2 seeded Tigers rallied in the ninth inning to stave off elimination from the tournament with a thrilling 9-5 victory over No. 4 seed Northwestern State in an elimination game earlier on Sunday.
Trailing entering the top of the ninth inning and heading to bat, LSU trailed 4-5, but scored five runs in that frame to stay alive.
The Tigers will now try to avenge the 14-1 defeat from Saturday night against Corvallis Regional No. 1 seed Oregon State when the pair battle at 9 p.m. ET Saturday.
There will be televised updates on ESPNU during the game and streamed live on WatchESPN.com.
LSU must beat Oregon State twice to advance to the NCAA Super Regional tournament.
“Their closer was tough, but we were able to get some big hits in the ninth inning,” said LSU coach Paul Mainieri.
“The hitters came through in a big way for us after we had struggled with some scoring opportunities throughout the game. We’re going to go back to the hotel for a couple of hours and work on a pitching plan to face a very good Oregon State lineup tonight.”
The Beavers only need to win tonight’s game to progress.
