The three were all left on the bench by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are both missing.

Toni Kroos, Pepe and goalkeeper Keylor Navas are also out of today’s game.

Captain and leading centre-back Sergio Ramos starts, however, in a back four that also includes Brazilian left-back Marcelo, who had an impressive scoring pre-season with the Spanish giants.

Isco, linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, starts today as well in midfield, while Alvaro Morata, who returned to the Spanish capital this summer from Juventus, leads the attack.

Kiko Casilla starts in goal, with Ruben Yanez on the bench as his backup. Raphael Varane partners Ramos in the heart of the defence, and Dani Carvajal plays at right-back.

Casemiro, Mateo Kovacic, Lucas and Marco Asensio also start for Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, For Sevilla, the Europa League champions, new signing Luciano Vietto has been handed a starting place and will lead the attack with Vitolo.

The talented forward joined Sevilla on loan from Atletico Madrid and he will be hoping to impress his new manager.

Steven N’Zonzi, Franco Vazquez, Mariano, Vicente Iborra and Nicolas Pareja all start as well for the La Liga club.
