The Group B matches scheduled for the today, with the action shifting to Bridgetown and Lucas Street.
Kicking things off on Thursday’s third day of the tournament is the clash between Combined Campuses and Colleges Marooners and ICC Americas, with action scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. local time (8:00 a.m. ET).
The Marooners opened Regional Super50 on a winning note after shocking one of the tournament title contenders Jamaica Scorpions by 75 runs on Day 1 on Tuesday.
Teenaged opener Amir Jangoo was the highlighted player with the bat for Marooners after making a measured 64, while off-spinner Mark Deyal and fast bowler Keon Harding picked up three wickets apiece in the win over the Scorpions.
ICC Americas will be opening their campaign and will be led by 22-year-old batsman Nitish Kumar.
The second match of the day comes from at Kensington Oval and it sees Jamaica Scorpions and Guyana Jaguars both looking to bounce back from opening day defeats.
Jamaica batted poorly in the defeat to CCC, while Jaguars were undone by a maiden regional one-day hundred from opener Kraigg Brathwaite in a 145-run loss to Barbados Pride on Tuesday as well.
Guyana, playing without two of its experienced players, struggled to contain Barbados’ batsmen and it cost them in the chase of a winning target of 303.
Like Scorpions poor chasing against Marooners, Jaguars also got off to a poor run pursuit against Pride, and they never recovered, as left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn and off-spinner Ashley Nurse evenly shared eight wickets for Barbados.
Captain Leon Johnson scored 55 to highlight the batting for Guyana, which was missing the injured pair of Shiv Chanderpaul and Chris Barnwell.
