(Sporting Alert) — Luis Suarez and Uruguay are all set to book their place at next summer’s Fifa World Cup finals when they take a sizable lead into the second leg of their AFC/CONMEBOL qualifying playoff clash with Jordan on Wednesday.
Uruguay lead the the two-legged tie 5-0 after a convincing win on the road last week and are all set to wrap things up Wednesday very comfortable.
Veteran forward Diego Forlán started the first leg on the bench last Tuesday, but could start up front this time with his team having such a big advantage.
He could join Edinson Cavani, who scored a stunning late free-kick in the first leg and Liverpool’s hotshot Suarez in the attack.
Forlán came off the bench for Suarez with 10-minutes left in the first leg, while fellow striker Abel Hernandez, who could also get a run out in this contest, did not featured at all.
Besides Cavani, Maxi Pereira, Christian Stuani, Nicolás Lodeiro and Cristian Rodriguez, were also on the scoresheet.
