The Packers (5-5-1) were uncertain about who will be featuring at quarterback, as Aaron Rodgers continues to be out with a broken collarbone . The team is winless since Rodgers got injured. Scott Tolzien started against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but coach Mike McCarthy yanked him for Matt Flynn, who brought the Packers back from a 16-pointdeficit to earn a tie.

Now, it has been revealed that Flynn will be the starting QB, as Green Bay looks to snap a three-game losing streak, with their last out ending in a 26-26 tie against the Vikings.

McCarthy, sources said, had made his mind up early in the week to go with Flynn over Tolzien, who started the last to games, but waited until Wednesday to announced his decision.

Flynn says he’s been preparing well.

“I’ve been hitting the playbook hard and studying, and asking a lot of questions from Aaron, all the receivers, linemen — how they want things called, and how they want the operation to go,” Flynn said. “So I feel good.”

The Lions (6-5) are also a team in flux, even though their starting quarterback, Matthew Stafford, and all-star receiver Calvin “Megatron” Johnson are intact.

After an amazing comeback to beat the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit lost a puzzling pair to the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which they featured an odd fake field goal to give the Iron Curtain the momentum, and then to the equally enigmatic Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green Bay Pacers are 15-1 against the Detroit Lions in the last 16 games between the two sides.
