The NBA Preseason Scores On October 13; Cavs Lose Again

TULSA, Okla., Sporting Alert – The NBA preseason scores and results on Tuesday, October 13. LeBron James sits out the Cavs defeat against the Bucks.

THUNDER 100, MAVERICKS 88

TULSA, Okla. — Russell Westbrook scored 19 points and Enes Kanter added a double-double off the bench, and the Oklahoma City Thunder picked up an NBA preseason 100-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at the BOK Center in Tulsa, on Tuesday night.

Westbrook shot 8 of 13 from the field and played in 20 minutes.

Kanter, who also played 20 as a reserve, added 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the floor and 11 rebounds

Kevin Durant, continuing his comeback from a broken leg, scored 10 points, but was just 4 of 12 in shooting from the field.

The star forward said he is feeling good though.

Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow each added 10 points as well.

John Jenkins scored a game-high 26 points for Dallas, Zaza Pachulia ended with 13 points and five rebounds and Justin Anderson had 11 points in the defeat.

Forward Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons and Deron Williams were among six players who were left at home as they continue to recover from injuries.

BUCKS 110, CAVALIERS 101

CLEVELAND — Greg Monroe and rookie Rashad Vaughn each scored 19 points and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 110-101 in NBA preseason action at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday night.

The Cavs, who were suffering their fourth successive defeat and remain winless in preseason, played without LeBron James, who was given the night off by head coach David Blatt because the four-time MVP winner wasn’t feeling well.

Meanwhile, Monroe, who shot 7 of 11 from the field, also pulled down 13 rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Bucks.

John Henson also added a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards for Milwaukee, Jerryd Bayless scored 13 points and eight assists, O.J. Mayo had 12 points and 10 assists and Johnny O’Bryant III had 10 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Mo Williams scored 18, but was only 4 of 15 in shooting and Richard Jefferson, who was 11 of 12 from the free-throw line, had 16 for Cleveland (0-4).

Matthew Dellavedova had 13 points, Joe Harris and Dionte Christmas each finished with 10 points for the Cavaliers.

Timofey Mozgov also got a break and the defending Eastern Conference champions remain without Kyrie Irving (knee), Kevin Love (shoulder) and J.R. Smith (hamstring).

Forward Jabari Parker remains on the sides for the Bucks, as he’s yet to be cleared by doctors after his knee surgery.
