Both teams recorded wins in their opening matches of the season last week and will be hoping to add three more points this weekend to their respective tally.
In Manchester City team news, the twice defending champions have made three changes to the side that started in the 5-0 win at West Ham United.
Goalscoring forward Sergio Aguero, as well as midfielder Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan all come into the side today as manager Pep Guardiola makes changes.
Making way for the trio are Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and Riyad Mahrez.
Raheem Sterling, who netted a hat-trick in the season opener, as expected keeps his spot in the three-man frontline, while Rodrigo starts again at holding midfield and playmaker Kevin De Bruyne captains the side will David Silva on the bench.
Fernandinho, Joao Cancelo and Phil Foden are among the subs.
Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino makes one adjustment to the side that beat Aston Villa 3-1 last weekend.
Star playmaker Christian Eriksen, who has been linked with a move away from the club, replaces Lucas Moura, who was named on the bench.
Eriksen, who came on as a substitute last week, will play alongside Erik Lamela retains his place and will play in support of the main-man Harry Kane.
Danny Rose, Moussa Sissoko and NDombele all start as well for Spurs.
Defender Jan Vertonghen and midfielder Eric Dier are both on the bench.
According to OPTA STATS, Manchester City have won their last four Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur and will be hunting a fifth successive win – something they have never done against Spurs.
