KIEV (Sporting Alert) — James Milner, as expected has been handed a starting place for England for tonight’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ukraine at Olympic Stadium in Kiev.

Milner comes in the starting side for the suspended Danny Welbeck misses out in Roy Hodgson’s one change to the team that picked up a 4-0 win over Moldova on Friday night.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will make his 100th England appearance and he plays in the middle alongside Steven Gerrard and Jack Wilshere.

Milner joins Theo Walcott and Rickie Lambert in the attack, while Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka and Ashley Cole all start as well.

Amongst the substitutes for England are Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Ashley Young and Jermain Defoe.

England boss Hodgson promised to go for the win on the road, but admits he will also be cautious against a very tricky Ukraine side.
