WASHINGTON, DC (December 4) —— Anthony Davis scored 55 points and combined with LeBron James and Lonnie Walker IV to total 104 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Washington Wizards 130-119 in an NBA score tonight (4) at Capital One Arena, here in Washington, DC.
Davis shot 20 of 30 from the field and also collected 17 rebounds with three blocks, while LeBron James added 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the LA Lakers, who made 52 shots on the night for 54.2%. Read More: NBA schedule today, game time, players to watch – Dec. 4
Davis was tallying 99 points over the last two games after scoring 44 points against Milwaukee and he tallied the most points by a Lakers player since the late Kobe Bryant in 2007. The powerful center came close to his career-high of 59 points, set against Detroit in 2016.
Walker IV ended with 20 points, while Russell Westbrook contributed 15 assists and seven rebounds with his six points for Los Angeles (10-12) which won three straight and five of the last five games overall.
Kristaps Porzingis paced Washington with 27 points and nine rebounds, and former Laker-man Kyle Kuzma ended with 26 points for the Wizards (11-13) who were losing for the third straight time and dropped six of the last seven overall.
The Lakers, who led by as many as 29 points during the contest, went into the halftime break with a 68-50 lead and shot 54% during that period.
Washington was forced to play most of the game without leading scorer and three-time All-Star Bradley Beal, who left the floor with an undisclosed injury with 8:31 to play in the first quarter.
