BRUSSELS, Belgium — Starting lineups for the World Cup warm-up game between Belgium and Portugal at King Baudouin Stadium.
Both nations are hoping to have a productive run at the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia and will be using this game to test themselves before the tournament kicks off later this month.
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has decided to name a very a strong team today, while Portugal is without its captain and star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been given extra time off, following his participation in the Champions League final with Real Madrid.
For Belgium, Thibaut Courtois, Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne, Mousa Dembélé, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen captain Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku – who all play in the English Premier League – start.
Meanwhile, for Portugal, João Moutinho, Bernardo Silva, José Fonte, William Carvalho, Cedric Soares and captain Pepe are all among the starters.
