BLOEMFONTEIN (Sporting Alert) — The following are the starting lineups for the African Cup of Nations Championship Group C clash between Ghana and Congo at Free State Stadium.

For Ghana, Stephen Adams has been handed the starting place in goal by Maxwell Konadu, who plays with his locally-based players.
The team, which sees Mohammed Sulley starting in the attack, will be captained by midfielder Jordan Opoku, while Theophilus Annorbah, Yahaya Mohammed and Nuru Sulley all start this game as well.
“We are very ready and positive about our chances in the group,” said Konadu. “We have prepared well and I hope the players maintain their focus and stick to the plan.
“We have enjoyed a good build-up to the tournament. It’s a major competition and we needed this kind of preparations.”
Tournament debutants Congo, meanwhile, has been dealt an early blow, following the last minute withdrawal of striker Junior Makiesse. The team is already without five key local players, who were not considered for the championship.
