As expected, Tim Howard starts in goal, while Fabian Johnson has been named to play at right, as he plays in defense alongside Geoff Cameron, Matt Besler and DaMarcus Beasley.

There are starts also for Alejandro Bedoya, Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones and Graham Zusi in midfield, while Jozy Altidore will provide the main power upfront.

Captain Clint Dempsey was penciled in to start tonight, but he has a groin strain, USA officials are reporting, and will not play tonight so Chris Wondolowski will take his place.

This will be Wondolowski’s 20th cap for the USA national team.

Julian Green, Aron Johannsson, Brad Davis and Chris Wondolowski are among the players on the bench tonight for the United States, who are playing the first of the three World Cup warmup games before Brazil 2014, which starts next month.
