MANCHESTER — Arsenal experienced center-back Per Mertesacker was not impressed with the behavior of his teammate and fellow Germany countryman Mesut Ozil after he apparently “disrespected” to the Gunners fans following the 6-3 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday.

Stand in Arsenal captain Mertesacker did not take kindly to Ozil’s decision to head straight for the dressing room at the final whistle, rather than joining his his team-mates to applaud the traveling fans.

The pair were caught having a heated discussion on camera as they left the field and according to reports they burst continues into the visitors’ dressing room.

Following the argument, Arsenal manager says he will let the players deal with that themselves and he is confident the matter will be resolved as quickly as possible.

“That is the Germans, they will sort that out between themselves. Don’t worry,” Wenger said.
