TULSA, Sporting Alert – NCAA college football live ESPN3 streaming and Top 25 coverage continues on Saturday in Week 9. Stanford, Iowa and Memphis on the list.
After putting away Washington 31-14 in their last game, the Cardinal (6-1) will hunt its seventh successive victory since losing the season opener to Northwestern.
On Saturday, they will travel to Martin Stadium in Pullman, WA, to battle with Pac-12 North rivals Washington State (5-2), which has also been in good form in recent weeks as well.
The Cardinal, who have scored at least 31 points per game in its last six games, have tallied 256 points during this winning stretch, while averaging 49.0 points per game overall this season.
However, they will come up against a Washington State side, which is averaging 57.0 points per game – 8th in the league, and is passing for 415.0 yards per game – second most in NCAA college football this season.
Stanford is looking to improve to 6-0 in the Pac-12, while the Cougars, who sit right below them in the North, are hoping to improve to 4-1 with a win.
This one should be a very interesting matchup with Stanford listed as 10.5-point favorites to stop the Cougars’ current winning form.
Meanwhile, after being on a bye last week, No. 10 Iowa head into Week 9 seeking to pick up from where they left off in Week 7 when they play host to Maryland at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.
The undefeated Hawkeyes (7-0) are also 3-0 in Big Ten action, while sitting atop of the WEST side of the Standings.
When Iowa last played, they picked up a 40-10 victory over Northwestern and will start this contest as 17-point favorites to put away the Terrapins (2-5), who have dropped its last four games and five of the last six.
The Hawkeyes are seen as genuine playoff contenders, and looking at the remaining games on their schedule, they are certainly on course stay in the runnings.
Elsewhere in College football action in Week 9, No. 21 Temple puts its undefeated season on the line against No. 9 Notre Dame at home. Game time for this battle is set for 7:00 p.m. and is live on ABC and streaming on WatchESPN.
Live online streaming will also be on ESPN3.com.
The Owls (7-0, 4-0 American Athletic) are on good form at the moment, but their streak could end this weekend, as the American Athletic Conference side will be tested by the Fighting Irish (6-1) who defeated USC 41-31 in their last outing.
One of the clashes with some interest this weekend outside the AP top 25 is the matchup between the unranked USC and California at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, CA.
The Trojans (4-3) stopped a two-game losing streak with a 42-24 win over then-No. 3 Utah the last time out, while the Golden Bears (5-2), who are Cal hoping to beat USC for the first time since 2003, head into this game trying to avoid a third successive defeat on the season.
