PANTHERS 37, PACKERS 29

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cam Newton passed for three touchdowns and ran for another score in guiding the Carolina Panthers to a 37-29 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

The star quarterback went 15 of 30 on passes for 297 yards and a late interception, while running for 57 yards on nine carries for the Panthers, who stayed unbeaten and improved to 8-0 this season.

Devin Funchess caught the ball three times for 71 yards and a touchdown, Greg Olsen had four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown, while Corey Brown also took a TD catch in the win for Carolina, which won 12 straight, dating back to last season.

This is the longest active NFL streak.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns and an interception, but the Packers were unable to recover from digging themselves into a huge 23 point hole, despite a strong run in the fourth-quarter.

Randall Cobb had four catches for 99 yards and one touchdown, Richard Rodgers caught two TD passes, while James Starks had six catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.

The Packers outscored the Panthers 15-7 in the fourth-quarter, but were stopped on 4th-and-goal from four-yards with just under two minutes remaining in the contest.

Thomas Davis made the vital interception off Rodgers’ pass and the quarterback, who was unable to see the linebacker covering the end zone pass, was visibly unhappy with the pass coverage after he was picked off.

PATRIOTS 27, REDSKINS 10

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes to lead the New England Patriots to a 27-10 victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Brady completed 26 of 39 passes for 299 yards, while throwing one interception in the win for the Patriots, who improved to 8-0 on the season.

LeGarrette Blount ran for 129 yards and a score on 29 carries, while Brandon LaFell had five catches for 102 yards and Julian Edelman and Brandon Bolden each caught a touchdown pass for New England, which scored the opening 17 points of the game.

Kirk Cousins went 22 of 40 on passes for 217 yards and a touchdown for Washington, which was held for just 37 yards on the ground.

The Redskins (3-5) were losing three of the last four games.

New England running back Dion Lewis left the game in the third quarter with a left knee injury after he was brought down by a low tackle.

BILLS 33, DOLPHINS 11

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Sammy Watkins caught all eight of his targets for a career-best 168 yards and a touchdown in helping the Buffalo Bills to a 33-11 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Watkins gave the Bills a 26-14 lead when he caught a 44 yards pass from Tyrod Taylor for a touchdown in the third quarter as Miami was looking to stage a comeback.

Taylor went 11 of 12 on passes for 181 yards and one touchdown and ran for another 44 yards for Buffalo (4-4), which snapped a two-game losing streak and move to .500 on the season.

Karlos Williams rushed nine times for 110 yards and two scores and LeSean McCoy ran 16 times for 112 yards and a score in the win for the Bills.

Ryan Tannehill completed 27 of 36 passes for 309 yards for Miami, and Lamar Miller ran for two scores and had 97 yards receiving in the defeat for Dolphins (3-5).
