Both New Mexico State and Bowling Green enter this year’s eighth edition of the Quick Lane Bowl with identical 6-6 records so one of these two teams will finish the campaign with a winning overall record. Who will it be? Which team will improve to 7-6 and which program will fall to 6-7 at the end of the game on Boxing Day?

Bowling Green will be making its first appearance in the Quick Lane Bowl, but the Falcons appeared in a bowl game two previous times at Ford Field. Prior to this year, Bowling Green featured on Boxing Day, playing in the Motor City Bowl (2003) and the Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl (2013). The Falcons are appearing in their first bowl game since the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl when they fell to Georgia Southern.
Meanwhile, New Mexico State is set to feature in its first bowl game since 2017 when the team won the 2017 Arizona Bowl against Utah State. Today’s game will also be just the second for the Aggies since 1960.
