BREAKING: Fellaini starts for Man United; No Costa for Chelsea

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Marouane Fellaini starts for Manchester United in today’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Fellaini, who came off the bench to score for Man United in their 2-2 draw with West Bromwich on Monday night, replaces Ander Herrera in midfield, while Angel Di Maria also starts after shaking off a thigh problem he picked up in the last outing.

There is no Radamel Falcao though as he failed to recover from a knock he suffered in training, while Chris Smalling comes in at center-back for Phil Jones.

Adnan Januzaj keeps his place in the starting XI, as does Juan Mata, with Robin van Persie leading the attack.

Leading forward Diego Costa will miss the game for Chelsea after he failed to shake-off a hamstring and groin injury.

Veteran Didier Drobga will lead the attack for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Chelsea leads the English Premier League table standings with 22 points, 10 more points that Manchester United, which sits eighth in the standings at the moment.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw; Blind, Fellaini; Di Maria, Mata, Januzaj; van Persie. Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, Fletcher, Carrick, Herrera, Pereira, Wilson.

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Felipe Luis; Matic, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Drogba. Subs: Cech, Zouma, Ake, Mikel, Schurrle, Baker, Salah.
