AMES, IA (December 18) —— Caleb Grill scored 14 points and led five Iowa State players who scored in double figures and the Cyclones beat Western Michigan 73-57 in a college basketball game at James H. Hilton Coliseum in Ames, on Sunday (18).
Grill scored eight of his points in the second half on 3 of 3 shooting from the field, including 2 of 2 from three-pointers. He also grabbed six rebounds in his 33 minutes on the court. Gabe Kalscheur added 11 points on 5 of 8 shooting to go with five assists, while Tre King also finished with 11 points after making 5 of his 6 attempts from the floor.
Also scoring in double-digits in the win on Sunday were Robert Jones with 10 points and five assists and Jaren Holmes, who had 10 points and five rebounds for Iowa State (9-2) to win two straight and improved to 7-0 at home this season. The Cyclones have won four in the last five games overall.

Tray Maddox Jr. ended with 13 points and five rebounds, JaVaughn Hannah scored eight of his 10 points in the second half, while Markeese Hastings contributed a team-high eight rebounds for the Broncos (3-8) who were losing two straight and six of the past seven games overall.
