MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — The following are the football scores from the Champions League games that took place on Tuesday. Below are also the group standings and qualifiers for the last 16.
Manchester United wrapped up top honors in Group A with a 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at Old Trafford. The Premier League champions won the group with 14 points, with Bayer Leverkusen, who defeated Real Sociedad clinching second place with the 1-0 victory on the road.
Also booking a Champions League last 16 spot were Olympiakos, who beat Anderlecht 3-1 to join Paris St Germain from Group C.
PSG were beaten 2-1 by Benfica, but they had already topped the group.
In other scores, Manchester City came from 2-0 down to beat holders Bayern Munich 3-2, with both teams finishing on 15pts. Bayern Munich won the group with a better goal-difference.
The Group B game between Galatasaray and Juventus was abandoned because of a snow storm. The game will resume on 56-minutes left on Wednesday, with the winner joining Real Madrid in the second round.
