LAWRENCE, Kan., Sporting Alert – Clemson, the No. 1 team in the opening College Football Playoff Rankings, is the favourite against Florida State, while Alabama is picked to beat LSU in the latest spread released by Odd Shark.
Clemson To Keep It Going They Say
The Tigers (8-0) sit atop of the first CFP rankings, which was released on Tuesday night, and they head into this weekend’s clash with the Seminoles (7-1) as 12.5-point favourites to pick up another win and improve to 9-0 on the season.
Clemson sits alone at the top of the ACC Atlantic Standings with a 5-0 conference record, while its 211 total points leads all teams in the league.
Despite being the underdogs, Florida State is not expected to just roll over and die, which is why this contest is shaping up to be something special.
A win for the Seminoles would certainly create more tasty spin in the college football rankings, while the Tigers can establish themselves as the true front-runners in the race for the national title this season with a victory.
Florida State sits No. 16 in the CFP rankings, which is where reigning champions Ohio State started last year before going on to shock the pundits – so it is reasonable to see why Jimbo Fisher men are still harbouring top four aspirations.
However, they will need to win this weekend to stand any chance of moving up the rankings, as a defeat to Clemson would more than likely squash their national title hopes.

TCU is averaging 48.0 points per game and passing for 389.4 yards per contest on an average.
The Cowboys (8-0), in the meantime, are scoring 44.0 points per game, while passing for 351.5 yards per game.
