CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The College Basketball scores from the AP Top 25 games that took place on Sunday, December 6.

NO. 9 NORTH CAROLINA 98, DAVIDSON 65

No. 9 North Carolina used a big first-half lead to set up a 98-65 victory over Davidson in a college basketball game on Sunday.

Nate Britt matched his career high with 17 points off the bench on 6-for-8 shooting, while hitting two of his three 3-pointers.

Justin Jackson added 15 points, five rebounds and three assists and Brice Johnson flirted with a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds to help the Tar Heels (7-1) who won four straight since being upset at Northern Iowa last month.

Leading guard Marcus Paige, playing in his second game of the season after returning from a hand injury, finished with 13 points and four assists for North Carolina, which knocked off No. 2 Maryland 89-81 in the ACC vs Big Ten Challenge earlier in the week.

Jack Gibbs paced Davidson with 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Jordan Barham had 11 points and five rebounds and Brian Sullivan added 10 points for the Wildcats (5-1) who trailed by as many as 25-points during the first half.

Joel Berry II scored 11 points for the Tar Heels, who shot 50.7 percent, while outrebounded Davidson 52-31.

NO. 25 BAYLOR 69, NO. 16 VANDERBILT 67

Taurean Prince netted a career-high 30 points to lead No. 25 Baylor to a 69-67 victory over No. 16 Vanderbilt in a college basketball game on Sunday.

Prince, who was 10-for-19 from the floor and connected on four of his seven 3-pointers, also had five assists and three steals for the Bears (6-1).

Lester Medford had 15 points, including the winning 3-pointer from the corner with 42 seconds left, while Rico Gathers added a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds for Baylor, which won five straight since losing to then-No. 25 Oregon last month.

Notably, the 13 boards collected by Gathers, who was posting his fourth double-double of the campaign on Sunday, helped the senior to a career tally 920 rebounds, which moves him past Brian Skinner’s school record of 915.

“Honestly, it’s not something that I had planned to do in my tenure here,” Gathers said. “I didn’t even know anything about the record, until a couple of days before the season.

“I played the course and it eventually happened. I’m just glad that it was in a big game like this one.”

Wade Baldwin had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists and Matthew Fisher-Davis finished with 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks for Vanderbilt (6-2) in the defeat.
