RALEIGH, N.C. (Sporting Alert, Box Scores) — No. 1 Florida State survived an early scare on its way to scoring a comeback 56-41 victory over North Carolina State on Saturday.
Star quarterback Jameis Winston, who was returning from a one-game suspension, threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns to help the Seminoles (4-0, 2-0 ACC) rally from being 24-7 down at the Carter-Finley Stadium to score the victory and remain unbeaten this season.
Senior wide receiver Rashad Greene collected 11 passes for 125 yards and the go-ahead touchdown for the Florida State, with Karlos Williams running for three scores. FSU was 24-21 down at half-time.
