The 2014 BMW Berlin Marathon has again attracted several world-class runners from all over the globe, with both the men’s and women’s races expected to be exciting. Click here for LIVE online to watch the race live from the Universal Sports Network Marathon section
This year’s field on the men’s side will include Emmanuel Mutai, Levy Matebo, Geoffrey Kamworor, Tsegaye Kebede and the fastest man online the line Dennis Kimetto, and the talk of attacking the world record hits the headlines.
Six on the top seven starters are from Kenyan, with Ethiopian Kebede, who has the third fastest time in the field at 2:04:38, being the only exception.
The women’s race is also setup for an interesting battle as well, with the front runners expected to be Ethiopian pair Feyse Tadese and Tirfi Tsegaye, who have both raced under 2:22:00, as well American
Shalane Flanagan and Abebech Afework of Kenyan.
Japan’s Kayoko Fukushi is also expected to be amongst the leading runners in this battle.
