After missing 11 games with a shoulder injury, Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry returns to the lineup tonight against the Phoenix Suns in a Western Conference matchup. Here are the starting lineups for tonight’s NBA game between the Warriors and the Sun.
This Western Conference clash will occur at the Chase Center here in San Francisco, CA, and will be televised live on TNT and streamed online on TNT NBA, starting at 10:00 pm ET. Phoenix has lost six straight games but has won the last two against Golden State this season.
While Curry will likely play slightly less than his season average of 34.4 minutes, he is not on a minutes restriction and will work his way back into game shape.
Since suffering the injury on December 14th, the Warriors have gone 6-5 without their star point guard. However, in the game before his injury, Curry showed his scoring prowess with 38 points, including 27 in the first half alone.
On the season, Curry averages 30.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. Furthermore, he has been particularly dominant against the Suns, averaging 35.5 points, 7.7 assists, and shooting 55.0% from 3-point range in two games this season.
Alongside Curry, the Warriors starting lineup will include Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, and Kevon Looney.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns will counter with Duane Washington, Mikal Bridges, Torrey Craig, Dario Saric, and Jock Landale.
It will be interesting to see how Stephen Curry will fit back into the Warriors’ rotation as the defending NBA champions seek to build some momentum as we advanced forward.
The Suns (20-21) head into this clash with a 6-14 record on the road this season, while Golden State (20-20) is 17-4 at home this season.
