PRAGUE (Sporting Alert) — Sunderland forward Jozy Altidore will captain the United States today when they take on the Czech Republic in friendly international game at Generali Arena in Prague.

Altidore, who had been injured during the FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil, this past summer, is now fully fit and was handed the captain’s armband with Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard both missing.
There is also a starting place for attacking midfielder Julian Green, with Michael Orozco, Alejandro Bedoya, Joe Corona, Mikkel Diskerud and Joseph Gyau all earning starting places.
Brad Guzan starts in goal, with Howard taking a break from international football, while Nick Rimando is on the bench as his backup.
