(Sporting Alert) — Manchester United new recruits Marcos Rojo and Ángel Di Maria both start for Argentina against Germany in today’s football friendly international.
Rojo will play alongside Martín Demichelis, Federico Fernández and Pablo Zabaleta in the backline, while Di Maria will team up with Sergio Agüero and Erik Lamela in the attack as Argentina look to avenge their defeat to Germany in the 2014 World Cup finals.
Germany, meanwhile, have opted to rest several of their stars in the opening 45-minutes, with World Cup stars Mats Hummels, Jérome Boateng, Thomas Müller and Mario Götze all starting on the bench.
However, Manuel Neuer keeps his place in goal, while Bastian Schweinsteiger, who replaces Philipp Lahm as the national new captain is not in the match day squad.
Mario Gomez leads the attack, with Marco Reus, Cristoph Kramer, Toni Kroos, Julian Draxler, Matthias Ginter and Benedikt Höwedes all start the game.
