Seven matches are on the schedule for Saturday, October 15, while the highlighted contest of this round will come from Anfield on Monday when Liverpool play hosts to arch rivals Manchester United.
On Saturday, leaders Manchester City must refocus after suffering their first defeat of the season to Tottenham prior to the international break.
Pep Guardiola’s men welcome Everton and although admitting that he and the City boss are “friends,” Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is only thinking about a victory for his side this weekend.
“Pep Guardiola and I have spent many hours together talking about football,” Koeman said.
“We are friends, I wish them all the best – but not on Saturday.”
Champions Leicester City and Chelsea will tackle at Stamford Bridge with both teams seeking to climb up the table standings.
Heading into this weekend, Antonio Conte’s men are sitting seventh, while Claudio Ranieri’s side, which has gotten off to a slow start, sits 12th.
Although impressing in Europe, the Foxes have won just twice so far this season in the defense of their English Premier League title, and Ranieri is bracing for another tough contest.
“It will be another tough match,” Ranieri said ahead of the clash. “Antonio Conte has changed the shape of Chelsea so we have to fight.”
Newly appointed Swansea City boss Bob Bradley gets his first taste of life as a manager in the English Premier League when the American takes his Swans side to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.
Both managers head into this contest with injury worries, with Wenger missing striker Olivier Giroud (toe) and star midfielder Aaron Ramsey (hamstring).
For Bradley, Nathan Dyer is out, while there are doubts over the fitness of striker Fernando Llorente (knee) and winger Jefferson Montero (calf).
Wenger said: “Last year we had a very negative experience with Swansea who killed our opportunity to win the Premier League.
“We have a good opportunity to show that we have learned from that.”
“To win there we will have to play well — all the details need to be right,” Bob Bradley said. “We have to make sure that defensively, the distance between our lines is right and our awareness is right.”
In other fixtures on Saturday, Crystal Palace take on a struggling West Ham United side, Stoke City and Sunderland battle, Bournemouth and Hull City have a date, while Tottenham, fresh off their win over Manchester City, will meet at West Bromwich Albion.
At Anfield on Monday, Liverpool and Manchester United go in search of valuable points when the two title chasers go head-to-head.
