English Premier League table standings, fixtures on Feb. 6

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — English Premier League table standings and fixtures heading into this weekend on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8.

Chelsea continues to lead the league with 53 points, five more than defending champions Manchester City, after the pair played to a 1-1 draw in their last fixture last weekend.

Manchester United sits third on 43 points, one more than Southampton and Arsenal, who are sitting fourth and fifth, respectively.

Tottenham (40pts), Liverpool (38), West Ham United (36), Swansea City (33) and Stoke City (32) complete the top 10 teams in the standings.

Struggling at the bottom and fighting relegation are Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers and Hull City, with the likes of Burnley, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion nowhere close to being out of danger.

The race for the title, Champions League spot and survival continue this weekend with another heavy fixture.

Arsenal visit Tottenham in the North London derby looking to break into the top four, leaders Chelsea take on Aston Villa with Jose Mourinho looking for his first win at Villa Park, while Manchester City entertain Hull City.

Elsewhere at the weekend, manager-less QPR play host to Southampton on Saturday, with third-place Manchester United traveling to take on West Ham United on Sunday.

Everton and Liverpool face-off in what is expected to be an intense Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, with England forward Daniel Sturridge in line to make his first start since August after returning from injury.
