LAWRENCE, Kan, Sporting Alert – Clemson continues to be the No. 1 team in the ESPN NCAA College Football Power Rankings top 25 in Week 13, but Ohio State fell out of the top five after losing on Saturday.

The Tigers (11-0) remained undefeated this season with its 11th victory after putting away Wake Forest 33-13 to collect 272 points in the power rankings.

Alabama (10-1) stayed No. 1 in this week’s rankings with 266 points, this after they comfortably roll past FCS outfits Charleston Southern, 56-6.

The Crimson Tide, who have won eight games in a row since losing to Ole Miss in Week 3, have now won at least 10 games for the 8th straight season and seem to be peaking at the right time.

New at No. 3 this week in the NCAA College Football Power Rankings is Michigan State (10-1), which handed defending national champion Ohio State its first loss of the season in a vital Big Ten battle.

The Spartans, on the back of that win, improved six places this week with 244 points, while taking over the lead in the Big Ten East Standings.

If Michigan State manages to beat Penn State next weekend, they will secure a place in the Big Ten championship game against Iowa.

Also new to the top four in the College Football Power Rankings this week is 4 Oklahoma (10-1), which jumped three places to No. 3 with 243 points after holding off TCU on Saturday night in a huge Big 12 matchup.

Completing the top five is Iowa (11-0) after they moved up one slot from last week.

Notre Dame (10-1) from two spots to No. 6, with Baylor (9-1), Ohio State (10-1), Stanford (9-2) and Oklahoma State (10-1) rounding out the top 10.

The Buckeyes and the Cowboys both fell five places this week after losing.

Oklahoma State was beaten at home by the Baylor Bears.

Houston (10-1), who saw its undefeated season crashed down at the hands of UConn on Saturday dropped 12 places to No. 25 this week.
