ESPN2/WatchESPN: Mexico v Portugal Live World Cup Warmup

(SportingAlert.com) — Mexico take on Portugal in a World Cup warm-up friendly at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Friday night in the final tune up for the tournament.

El Tri has been struggling to find some consistency heading into the tournament, which starts next week Thursday and head coach Miguel Herrera is hoping that after a few days of training his side is ready to start better football.

Manchester United forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, as reported on Thursday, will not be starting for Mexico tonight, with Herrera looks almost certain to leave the frontman on the bench as well in Brazil.

Portugal goes into this game without captain and star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also doubtful for the group opener against Germany, but with the likes of Joao Moutinho, Helder Postiga and Nani in the setup, it could be a very difficult night for the CONCACAF side.

Live coverage is on ESPN2 and WatchESPN, at 9:30 ET.
