MIAMI, FL (Sporting Alert) — Watch the Miami Heat play hosts to the Brooklyn Net at the AmericanAirlines Arena, here in Florida, live on ESPN3.com/WatchESPN. Live TV coverage is on ESPN Network.
“(The Nets) are playing some great basketball right now,” Miami’s star forward LeBron James said before the game.
“We look forward to playing a team that’s been playing good.”
The Heat (44-17) beat the Washington Wizards 99-90 in their last outing on Monday night, but have dropped three of the last four.
The two-time defending champions went down 104-95 in overtime in the last meeting with Brooklyn (32-30), and Dwyane Wade says the champs need to win on Wednesday night.
“We needed this win,” said Wade. “We wasn’t down on ourselves, but we really don’t like losing two games in a row and we lost three.
“So this was a good way to pick it back up, and now we have a great week at home.”
