Amongst the high profiled teams in action on Friday night are England, Italy, Spain, Holland and Germany, while seven other teams seek important victories to keep their hunt for a place in the Brazil tournament alive.

England, without leading striker Wayne Rooney, who picked up a head injury last weekend, take on Moldova in a game they are expected to win, but need to play well enough, even at home,  at Wembley Stadium.

Also in Group H, leaders Montenegro take on fourth place Poland, while England’s next opponents, and third placed Ukraine will face bottom placed side San Marino.

In Group A action, Scotland are confident of upsetting a very talented Belgium side, while Gareth Bale’s Wales take on FYR Macedonia on the road.

Elsewhere on Friday night, Germany play host to Austria, Ireland face Sweden in the same group, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal travel to take on the Northern Ireland, Netherlands are at Estonia, while Finland tackle world champions Spain and Georgia host the mighty France.

Meanwhile, in CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, Mexico, needing a win, play host to a tricky Honduras side, USA are in Costa Rica for another tough game, while Jamaica travel to Panama.
