Florida State No. 2 in BCS Standings – Oct. 20

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — Florida State is the surprised team at No. 2 on the opening release of the BCS standings on Sunday, while Alabama sits easily at No. 1 on Sunday.

The Seminoles (6-0), after beating the then No. 3 AP ranked team Clemson, 51-14 on Saturday, received the BCS backing and moved in front of Oregon (7-0) who is at No. 3.

The top five remains the same as the AP poll, with Ohio State at No. 4 and No. 5 Missouri.
