Juventus midfielder Vidal, a target of several clubs in Europe this season, was forced to leave a training session in Miami after aggravating his knee, and there were suggestions that the 27-year-old would face another spell on the sidelines.
However, he starts for Chile in midfield and play alongside Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez, Rodrigo Millar, Charles Aranguiz and Marcelo Diaz in the starting lineup.
Claudio Bravo starts in goal, while Francisco Silva, Gary Medel and Mauricio Isla also start as well.
Meanwhile, for Mexico, there is no Javier Hernandez, but Giovani dos Santos and Oribe Peralta are amongst the attackers.
The starting XI also includes Miguel Ponce, Jose Juan Vazquez, Andres Guardado and goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
Marco Fabian and Erick Torres are both amongst the substitutes for tonight’s game at Levi’s Stadium.
