Highlights – Kispert Scores 27, No. 1 Gonzaga Beat Northwestern State 95-57

SPOKANE, Wash. — Corey Kispert scored 27 points to lead No. 1 Gonzaga to a 95-57 win over Northwestern State of Louisiana in the Bulldogs’ home opener on Monday night.

Kispert Very Efficient For Gonzaga

Kispert made 10 of his 13 shots from the field and made 3 for 5 from 3-pointers.

He also grabbed seven rebounds for Gonzaga, which was winning its 32nd consecutive regular-season home openers – dating back to the first loss to Boise State in 1988.

Anton Watson added 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four steals, and three blocks, while Jalen Suggs added 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting, with seven rebounds and seven assists for Gonzaga (5-0), which shot 55.0% and made 33 baskets on 23 assists.

Drew Timme ended with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for the Bulldogs, who were playing Northwestern State for the first time.

Meanwhile, Carvell Teasett jumped off the bench to score 16 points (6-10) and Jairus Roberson added 12 for the Demons (1-8), who were losing three straight.

The Bulldogs led 43-30 at halftime before outscoring the Demons 52-27 in the second half to roll to the easy win.

It will be a very short turnaround for the schools as both teams will meet again in a rematch on Tuesday.
