This game is the first of the eight FIFA World Cup 2022 rounds of 16 encounters and many experts believe this will be a very close matchup, as the young and energetic Americans come in full of confidence against a Dutch side that is comprised of young and experienced players.

The two changes today for the USA are Walker Zimmerman and Jesus Ferreira who come in for Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is on the bench, and the injured Norwich forward Josh Sargent, who is out of the matchday squad altogether with an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has named the same team that beat Qatar in the final group match, which means Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City’s Nathan Ake, and Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong all start again.
Attacker Cody Gakpo has scored in all three matches for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
