MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Reggie Jackson scored 29 points, including six free throws down the stretch to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 103-99 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in a preseason game in Manchester, England on Tuesday.
Jackson, who has stepped into the vacant starting role at point guard for the injured Russell Westbrook, was aggressive throughout the game, as he went 10-for-17 from the field. He also finished with eight assists and six rebounds.
Kevin Durant had an impressive double-double of 21 points and 12 assists, to go along with his eight rebounds, but he had four turnovers in the win.
Serge Ibaka was also a major contributor, adding 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, for the Thunder (2-0), which played without Kendrick Perkins, while Thabo Sefolosha only played nine-minutes and went 0-2 from the field and 0-of-2 from the free throw line.
Tony Wroten paced the Philadelphia 76ers (1-1) with 20 points, while Evan Turner added 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the defeat.
Thaddeus Young scored 12 points and Spencer Hawes added 11 points and nine rebounds, with Michael Carter-Williams finishing with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
