CARSON, Calif., Sporting Alert — Manchester United will open their 2017 pre-season fixtures against the Los Angeles Galaxy in Carson, California, on Saturday night and you can watch live streaming coverage of the game online.
The scheduled kick-off time for this game is set for 10:00 p.m. ET and live national broadcast is available on ESPN and the ESPN list of networks.
Other USA broadcasters are ESPN Deportes+ ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes Radio, while MUTV will have the live stream for the viewers in the UK.
Manager Jose Mourinho also confirmed that he will be making several rotations during the game, noting that youngsters Demetri Mitchell and Scott McTominay will also feature in the Red Devils’ 2017 pre-season opener.
“The approach will be 45 minutes each,” Mourinho said on www.manutd.com. “We brought [Demetri] Mitchell and Scott [McTominay] to protect against injuries but at this moment everyone is ready to play.
“I am going to play with two different teams, 45 minutes for each player which is continuity in relation to the work they have been doing – they have nine hours of work done and tomorrow they will have nine hours and 45 minutes.”
Mourinho also spoke about the arrival of striker Lukaku and defender Lindelof and gave an update on how well they have settled into camp so far.
“They are lucky to be here, they are lucky to be with such a good group. It’s so easy [to settle here],” the Reds boss said.
“Romelu is a bit English, Lindelof speaks perfect English which is a plus and helps, and I look at them and I don’t even think of them as new guys because the integration has been very good.”
David De Gea and Joel Pereira will each play 45 minutes against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, according to Mourinho during his press conference.
Regular No. 2 Sergio Romero will not feature in the pre-season opener, but Mourinho revealed that the Argentine international will start against Real Salt Lake next week.
Meanwhile, this will be the second pre-season friendly match between these Manchester United and the LA Galaxy, with the previous meeting ending 7-0 in favor of the English Premier League side.
LA Galaxy come into this game on a bit of a poor run, having lost three of their five most recent games in the MLS.
