Kansas needed to recover quickly from the 103-99 overtime defeat to then-No. 11 Indiana in their season-opening last Friday in the Armed Forces Classic and the Big 12 champion did just that.

The Jayhawks (1-1) bounced back with a 77-75 win over top-ranked Duke at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night to get their season back on track.

Friday night, Kansas returns to Allen Fieldhouse to take on Siena live on the ESPN3 schedule and the WatchESPN app with the tip-off time at 8:00pm ET.

The men from Lawrence will again look to senior guard Frank Mason III, who is averaging 25.5 points and seven assists per game, to lead the way.

Kansas is seeking its 43rd-consecutive home opener in Allen Fieldhouse, which dates back to the 1973-74 season.

Siena heads to Kansas with a 1-1 record this campaign after its 77-75 loss at George Washington on Tuesday night.

Senior guard Marquis Wright, who has scored in double figures in the opening two games of the term, including tying his career-high with 31 points against Cornell, is averaging 26.0 points, 4.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds across two starts for the Saints.

This will be the second meeting between Kansas and Siena with the Jayhawks winning the previous clash 91-84 in 2009.

The Clash of The Bulldogs

Also in action on the ESPN3 schedule on Friday is No. 14 Gonzaga, which takes on Bryant at McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Wash.

The Bulldogs are off to a 2-0 start this season, following wins over Utah Valley and San Diego State this month.

“We were better tonight than we were against Utah Valley,” Zags coach Mark Few said after win against San Diego State.

“If we can keep moving it incrementally forward, that’s a great sign.”

Bryant (1-1) heads into this came hoping to build on the 88-61 victory over NCAA Division III Salve Regina on Tuesday night.

“Any time you can get a win in the home opener, it’s a great thing,” Bryant Bulldogs head coach Tim O’Shea said after the win.

“Hopefully, this will put us on the right track with some really tough games coming up.”

In other games on the watch live ESPN3 schedule on Friday, Oregon State takes on Nevada, Mississippi State will clash with Boise State, while Stephen F. Austin looks to defend its long home court streak against Northeastern State.
