Brooklyn Nets grab NBA longest winning streak this season
Brooklyn held off the Atlanta Hawks for its 10th straight victory with Kyrie Irving, who took over in the fourth quarter finishing with 28 points in that period, and Kevin Durant added 26 points and a season-high 16 rebounds in the 108-107 win. The victory on Wednesday night for the Nets (23-12) saw them grabbing the longest winning streak in the NBA this season and the team’s longest since they won 10 in a row in 2005-06.
The Golden State Warriors rallied to beat the Utah Jazz 112-107 with Jordan Poole finishing with 26 points, while Donte DiVincenzo added 19 points and Ty Jerome finished with 17 for the Warriors who won a back-to-back game playing without several key starters Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins. Lauri Markkanen scored 29 points and had seven 3-pointers and a season-best 16 rebounds in the loss for the Jazz.
Milwaukee Bucks lost again…
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Bucks suffered an overtime 119-113 defeat to the Chicago Bulls, who had DeMar DeRozan scoring 42 points for them in the victory. Giannis Antetokounmpo matched his season high with 45 points and set a season-best with 20 rebounds in the defeat for Milwaukee (22-12) which lost for the fourth successive time.
In other NBA results last night, Zion Williamson collected a career-high 43 points, including 14 in the last 2:44, and the New Orleans Pelicans prevailed over the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-118 for their fourth straight victory, the Washington Wizards had a 127-102 win over the Phoenix Suns, while the Miami Heat topped LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, 112-98.
