Mohamed Salah has scored from the penalty spot to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
After scoring a hat-trick in midweek, Diogo Jota, who has scored six goals in four games so far this season, will start on the offensive side for Liverpool, which make two changes for today.
Roberto Firmino also starts today and he replaces Curtis Jones, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane completing the four-man attack. It is surprising to see both Firmino and Jota in the starting lineup and many believe it is a risk going so attacking without Virgil van Dijk in the backline.
Elsewhere, Joel Matip returns to the starting team for Liverpool and he will play alongside Joe Gomez at center-back.
Meanwhile, hosts Manchester City welcome back striker Gabriel Jesus, who will make his first English Premier League start since the opening day of the season.

Ferran Torres keeps his place, while John Stones and Phil Foden are among the substitutes today.
