Johnson comes back in the starting team for Jon Flanagan, while Coutinho also starts in place of Mamadou Sakho from the side that was beaten 2-0 by Arsenal last week.
Also getting a recall was Daniel Agger and he comes in in for Kolo Toure, as manager Brendan Rodgers returns to a back four. The Dane will play alongside Martin Skrtel, as the Reds make three changes from the last time out.
Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are big favourites to add more goals to their names today, while captain Steven Gerrard and the cool-headed Lucas start in midfield.
Fulham, in the meantime, make two changes from the team that was beaten 3-1 by Manchester United, with Alexander Kacaniklic replacing the suspended Sascha Riether.
