Captain Jordan Henderson will play alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana in midfield with Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino leading the attack.

Meanwhile, Mark Hughes makes one adjustment to his Stoke City starting XI, as ex-Liverpool striker Peter Crouch replaces Bojan at centre forward.

Also in the starting team is former Reds player Glen Johnson, who will feature alongside Ryan Shawcross, Bruno Martins Indi and Erik Pieters in the backline.

Joe Allen, who was sold by Klopp in the summer, returns to Anfield on great form and he will link up with Mame Biram Diouf and Crouch in the attack for Stoke City.

Glenn Whelan, Gianelli Imbula and Jon Walters also start for the visitors.

Hughes also has a strong bench, with Wilfried Bony, Ibrahim Afellay, Charlie Adam, Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan available if needed.
