Manchester United vs Norwich City: Team News, Preview

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Wilfried Zaha, Anders Lindegaard and Javier Hernandez are all set to start for Manchester United in Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup fourth round tie with Norwich City at Old Trafford

The young England forward has been linked with a January loan move, but United manager David Moyes will give the summer recruit an opportunity to shine.

“I just don’t think we have had the right opportunity to get him on as much as would have liked,” Moyes told the United website.

“We don’t want to put him in too quickly. We want to make it the right time.

“It’s not that Wilf has done anything wrong, it’s just that we have big competition and we have to try to make sure he gets some playing time.

“Unfortunately, we haven’t done that with Wilf and, if it’s still the case in January, we would look at it (loan him out). But he is very much in my plans and in my thoughts all the time.”

Lindegaard is set to start in goal, while Hernandez is on course to lead the attack.

Shinji Kagawa will move back into his favourite position, right behind the striker, while Alexander Buttner is well set to replace Patrice Evra at left-back.

Meanwhile, Chris Hughton says he will use his squad, but revealed that he will field a team that he thinks is capable of beating Manchester United at Old Trafford.

“There will be some changes, but I want to put out a team that can go to a very difficult place and try to get a result,” Hughton said.

Man United (squad): De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Buttner; Nani, Welbeck, Jones, Giggs, Kagawa, Januzaj, Rooney, Hernandez, Carrick, Lindegaard, Amos, Anderson, Fabio, Zaha, Young, Valencia, Fellaini.

Norwich (squad): Ruddy, Martin, Turner, Bassong, Olsson, Tettey, Fer, Snodgrass, Howson, Redmond, Hooper, Bunn, Whittaker, R Bennett, Becchio, Johnson, Hoolahan, Pilkington, Elmander, van Wolfswinkel.
