Manchester United v Valencia Lineups; WatchESPN live stream

MANCHESTER (SportingAlert) — Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Javier Hernandez all start for Manchester United in tonight’s final preseason friendly against Valencia at Old Trafford.

Despite being heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United, Hernandez will start in the attack with Rooney, while Mata, making an emotional start against his former side, takes his place right behind the front two.

Rooney captains the team again tonight.

The starting also sees Chris Smalling and Phil Jones being joined by Tyler Blackett in the three-man backline, with Ashley Young and Reece James starting as well.

Summer signing Luke Shaw was not picked in the squad for today’s game.

Darren Fletcher and Ander Herrera, who makes his Old Trafford debut, start in the midfield, while Shinji Kagawa, Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj all start on the bench.
