NBA Scores, Records and Recaps From Oct. 30

(Sporting Alert) —  The Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers were among the teams beaten in NBA Wednesday night, but there were victories for the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.

Miami, after beating the Chicago Bulls in the opening game of the season Tuesday, suffered a 114-110 defeat at the Sixers, as Michael Carter-Williams starred for the home and Dwyane Wade was rested with a sore knee for the defending champions.

LA Lakers, were beaten 125-94  by the Golden State Warriors, who had Klay Thompson leading the way with 38 points and David Lee with 24.

At EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, the Oklahoma City Thunder, behind Kevin Durant’s 42 points, defeated the Utah Jazz 101-98.

Elsewhere, Dwight Howard grabbed 26 rebounds in his Houston debut and the Rockets scored a 96-83 win over the Charlotte Bobcats 83, while the Cleveland Cavaliers, 98 defeated the Brooklyn Nets, 94.
