TEXAS, Sporting Alert – Cleveland, San Antonio and the OKC Thunder were among the winners in the NBA on Tuesday night. Here are the NBA scores for January 12.

IN DALLAS: LeBron James scored 27 points, including the go-ahead layup in overtime to help the Cleveland Cavaliers (27-9) to a 110-107 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.

James also grabbed 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the win. Kyrie Irving added 22 points and nine assists and Kevin Love finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks for the Cavaliers, who extended their winning streak to eight games.

Chandler Parsons paced the Dallas Mavericks (22-17) with 25 points and eight rebounds, Dirk Nowitzki added 17 points and 11 boards, Deron Williams finished with 16 points and 10 assists and Zaza Pachulia ended with 14 points and 12 boards in the defeat. Dallas shot 49.4 percent from the field, but committed 16 turnovers.

The Cavaliers collected 34 points from the bench, compared to the Mavericks bench which contributed 24.

“We knew we weren’t going to blow them out. We knew that the lead at some point was going to get chipped away,” Mavs guard Wesley Matthews, who scored 11 points and seven rebounds in the game said.

“But this was our game. We should have won it and we didn’t.”

IN AUBURN HILLS: Tony Parker and LaMarcus Aldridge combined to score 53 points to help the San Antonio Spurs beat the Detroit Pistons 109-99 for its ninth straight victory in the NBA.

Parker scored 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting, while LaMarcus Aldridge added 22 points on 10-of-19 shooting, to go with 13 rebounds. Manu Ginobili finished with 15 points and five rebounds, Tim Duncan added 14 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two blocks.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope paced the Pistons with 25 points, while Andre Drummond added 17 points and 10 rebounds and Aron Baynes 15 points and nine boards and Reggie Jackson ended with 10 points and 11 assists for Detroit (21-17) who had their two-game win streak snapped.

IN MINNEAPOLIS: Kevin Durant scored 30 points and seven rebounds and Russell Westbrook added 22 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder held off a late rally to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 101-96.

Enes Kanter shot 8-of-10 from the field to end the game with 18 points off the bench for the Thunder (27-12) who bounced back from the defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers to win three of the last four games.

Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points to lead the Timberwolves (12-27) with Zach LaVine adding 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Shabazz Muhammad scored 20 points in the defeat for Minnesota which lost seven straight games and 11 of their last 12 this NBA season.
